why does my samsung digimax camera say 'card full?'?

Hi, I'm a useless techno-user.

If the card is full, does it need to be replaced? Do I need buy another card? What is this card it speaks of?

That is because it is full. There is no more room on it for even one more shot.

You do need a second card, but not for the reason you suspect.

You need to copy all the images from your memory card to your computer and then format the card using the format feature on your camera (don't use the format feature on the computer!)

The second card is for times when you fill one card and are not finished shooting. They are very inexpensive now days. How about under $10 for a 4 gb card?
