Memory Type

What type of laptop memory should I buy?

I have an Acer Aspire 5003WLMi with only 512MB of memory. I saw that it can be upgraded with two different types of memory. (pc2700 or pc3200). Is there a difference between these two types? ie. is one better than the other?

Each memory slot can hold DDR PC3200, DDR PC2700 with a maximum of 1GB per slot

now DDR PC3200 is a wee bit faster than DDR PC2700, but then it all boils down to what your system supports
lets say it supports DDR PC2700 and you were to use DDR PC3200 > it will run at DDR PC2700 speeds & not DDR PC3200 speeds
