How do you capture videos from a HDD recorder onto adobe premier 1.5?

I have a Sony Handycam HDD recorder (DCR-SR40) and all i need to know how to do is capture the videos onto adobe premier 1.5, if that's possible. I tried putting the videos into files on the comp and importing them into premier but the sound doesn't come with it

You need convert video to one of standart video format (AVI, WMV). You can use axara video converter. It can convert video to any formats and for any devcies.
