alienware windows install known disk?
hello people im trying to reinstall windows cause i have no operating system, but when i get to one screen in the windows install it sais unknown disk in four entries, wich is the hard drive im guessing but its wierd cause when my computer starts up and shows the black screen with some pc infomation it sais 115 GB ULTRA DMA 5 wich would mean it can detect a hard drive doesnt it? what do i do
If you have a card reader, you'll get that as well. You might want to remove any flash cards, and disconnect it from the USB connector on your motherboard. Then you will only see the one disk (hard disk drive) the next time you start up.
Easier option might be to disable USB from the BIOS set up screen, but not all motherboards have that functionality.
If that is not the case, then you need to provie more details.
