Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT memory card problems?
I'm the Managing Editor of my high schools newspaper. I'm trying to use one of our cameras.... a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT. I took a ton of pictures and now I can't get them off of the card.
When the card is plugged into the camera, it works great... or so I though. When I view the pictures on the card when it's plugged into the camera they are all there. But when I plug the camera into the computer or the card into a care reader, they are no where to be found.
It's not the camera, because I've tried another card and it worked great. But this card, a SanDisk Ultra II CompactFlash 4GB, is giving me problems.... Any ideas on how to fix it would be great.
There is a slight possibility that you have a fake card.

There is also the possibility of having a corrupted card.
The primary reason for cards corruption is this:
Continually shooting and deleting, shooting and deleting images when the card getting full. What this does is corrupt the image index file. It is always best after downloading all the image files from the memory card to format the card using the format feature on the cameras menu.
If the card is corrupted, you can recover the image files by using a recovery program made by San Disk or Lexar for under $35.
