HTC is a world renowned mobile phone manufacturing company with many high-end creations. The HTC phones are appreciated for their technological advancements and superior designs. Most of the phones feature QWERTY keyboard and come equipped with numerous applications for catering to the high end users.
There are two astounding creations by HTC and we are going to check out the differences between HTC Snap and HTC Touch. The HTC Snap looks extremely attractive with its 2.4 inch TFT display screen along with full QWERTY sized keyboard whereas the HTC Touch looks very high tech with slightly big 2.8 inch TFT touch enabled screen featuring 5 way navigation keys. The Touch comes with TouchFLO finger swipe for navigation whereas the Snap comes with trackball navigation for accessing the functions available on the respective phones.
Both the handsets feature Organizer, T9 and Pocket office which allow one to access the various files like PowerPoint, Excel, PDF and Word. These files are accessed mostly by professionals in their day to day office activities. These handsets also allow one to check emails regularly with excellent high-speed Internet connection. There is a facility for instant messaging which allows one to chat online with friends and colleagues.
Both the phones feature a 2MP camera, which offer high resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels and allow one to take beautiful pictures. One can also capture amazing videos through these phones. The HTC Touch runs on Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional whereas the HTC Snap runs on Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard, which allow them to run applications and functions smoothly.
The Snap features GPS support which allows one to access world maps and locate one's position at unknown places whereas the Touch doesn't have such a facility. The Snap comes with excellent roaming functions whereas the Touch lacks roaming features and hence restricted to work in a particular area.
Both HTC Snap and HTC Touch offers excellent Internet connectivity due to the presence of EDGE and GPRS technologies. Both the handsets are enabled with WI-Fi, which allows them to send wireless data across far away locations with the help of a nearby hotspot or WLAN. Both handsets support Bluetooth for short-range wireless data transfer and also come with USB port for connecting through a data cable. The Snap offers 3G skills with high speed HSDPA, which allows it to transfer data at a much faster speed whereas the Touch lacks 3G skills. However, both the phones lack a feature called video calling.
The HTC Snap comes with an internal memory of 192 MB RAM and 256 MB ROM whereas the HTC Touch comes in two combination one with internal memory 128MB RAM and 256MB ROM and another with 64MB RAM and 128MB ROM.
The Snap features a MicroSD card slot for storing up to 16GB of storage area whereas the Touch features a MicroSD card slot of 1GB, which makes snap a better storage phone. Both the handsets are integrated with MP3 and AAC player, which play fairly good music. There are preloaded games in both the devices, which are quite entertaining and interesting to play.
The HTC Snap being 3G network enabled is equipped with Standard 1500mAh Li-Ion battery which offers a talktime of upto 9hrs and standby time of 380 hrs for 2G network and 5hrs of talktime and 480 hrs of Standby time for 3G network, which lasts longer than the battery life of HTC Touch which comes with a Standard 1100mAh Li-Ion battery which offers a Talktime of 5hrs and Standby time of 200hrs for 2G network.
